Quality Policy

At the UNAQ, we offer Educational, Technological and Investigational Services for the aerospace field and related ones; thus, fulfilling requirements defined by the regulatory framework and our stakeholders, establishing quality objectives and standards through the comprehensive management system that promotes continuous improvement.

Mission

UNAQ’s mission is:

"To form value-oriented professionals and researchers, knowledge, competences, and national and international recognition for the aeronautical field, based on an open, flexible, relevant, and widely linked educational model for Mexico’s social, economic and cultural development."

Values

• Honesty: Acting with honesty, integrity and in congruity with the institution’s policies.
• Quality: Performing processes according to established standards and having continuous improvement.
• Leadership: Assuming a participative, with purpose, motivational and decision-making adaptable role to achieve strategic objectives.
• Discipline: To comply responsibly with the policies, strategies and rules to achieve the institutional objectives in a consistent way, and aligned with the mission and vision within the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Team work: Cooperating in a proactive way and with a belonging attitude during the institutional tasks.
• Transparency and accountability: Informing how the university’s processes have an impact in the society.

Attributes of the Educational Model

• Relevance: Coherence in the educational programs, while these satisfy expectations, needs, postulates and precepts that contribute to social and economic knowledge development in the aerospace industry.
• Flexibility: It allows to offer study programs according to the needs of the labor market, technological services and training required by the state's aeronautical sector and other federative entities.
• Focused on learning: Study programs focused on socially meaningful learning with a vision of the future, linked to institutional values, with a relevant and flexible curricular organization.
• Quality: In response to the need of having academic management programs and processes evaluated internally and externally, in order to meet current and future demands for innovation, competitiveness and academic capacity.
• Continuity: To facilitate, internally and externally, the validation of credits of different study levels with the different subsystems of advanced technological education.
• Internationalization: Commitment to create opportunities for student and academic staff participation in international academic networks that promote learning and technological development.
• Interdisciplinary: To develop innovative learning processes through the interrelationship of various knowledge areas. These support the responsible participation of the student in his or her own learning and in the development of skills and competencies that enable him or her to apply life-long knowledge with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  Mobility of students and academic staff. To generate alternatives for students and academic staff to transfer within and outside the institution while their credits are validated or allocated in the program of origin.
• Innovation: Commitment to facilitate open and flexible teaching-learning processes that allow students to be consistent with the accelerated and deep changes in the transformation of our time and promote their competitiveness.
• Liaison: Process through which the university is involved and impacts locally, regionally, nationally and internationally in terms of productivity, competitiveness and job creation for its graduates.
• Sustainable development: It allows us to face current needs, without endangering the environment and the development of future generations.
