From its inception until the end of 2015, the university has achieved an increase of 1,273%, having started with 94 students in January 2009 to 1,291 up to now.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Within the Program for Quality Enhancement in Educational Institutions (PROFOCIE), the Department of Student Services, through the Area of Psychopedagogy, launched a Gender Policy Diagnosis at UNAQ, beginning on February 16th 2015 with the Gender Equity surveys application to the student population and to teaching and administrative staff.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Three students from the ninth four-month term of the Aeronautical Engineering in Manufacturing (IAM) obtained the first national place of the GE Lean Challenge program convened in its ninth edition by the General Electric Infrastructure Quer\u00e9taro (GEIQ). This program aims to take advantage of their skills and knowledge based on a methodology of productive science, called Lean Manufacturing (\"slender\" or \"defect-free\u201d manufacturing) which allows them to highlight and acquire very advantageous tools for their future professional life.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The UNAQ team was made up of Guillermo Maldonado, Nicol\u00e1s Berlanga and H\u00e9ctor Perrusqu\u00eda, who competed against seven teams from five universities such as An\u00e1huac, Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Quer\u00e9taro (ITQ), UNAM Juriquilla, Universidad del Valle de M\u00e9xico (UVM) and the Technological Institute and Higher Education of Monterrey (ITESM).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the 8th Anniversary celebration, the Aeronautical University in Quer\u00e9taro (UNAQ) carried out a series of cultural and sports activities in a week full of: emotion, coexistence, values, teamwork and integration.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_10327\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10327\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10327 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/EstudiantesMuestraTecnologicajpg-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/EstudiantesMuestraTecnologicajpg-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/EstudiantesMuestraTecnologicajpg-16x12.jpg 16w, https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/EstudiantesMuestraTecnologicajpg.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10327\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Students in the technology show in 2015<\/figcaption><\/figure><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Additionally, a technological exhibition was carried out with great success in order to show off the technological projects that each academic area had developed, through the exhibition of research, machinery, tools, prototypes, practices, pieces, images, etc. To understand the complexity of each degree program in which more than 20 teachers and more than 50 students from different educational levels participate, some of the projects exhibited were the following:<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Postgraduate:<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Development of cargo model for the \u201cSAE Aero Design\u201d competition. Students: Adri\u00e1n R\u00edos, Gamaliel Salazar, Oswaldo Vazquez, Samuel Reyes, Miguel Acoltzi and Randy Uribe and professors: Adriana Ch\u00e1zaro and Norma Mu\u00f1oz.<\/li><li>Natural convection chamber, developed by students Jos\u00e9 Luis Xancopinca and Alejandro Hern\u00e1ndez and Professor Aris Iturbe.<\/li><li>Ring wing, developed by the students Jes\u00fas Galinzoga, Nicol\u00e1s Berlanga and Guillermo Maldonado and Professor Omar Jim\u00e9nez Arevalo.<\/li><li>Stewart platform with application to flight simulators, developed by students Goretti Ram\u00edrez, Naiver Johenn, Luis Alejandro Guerra and Diego Gonz\u00e1lez Cabello as well as professors Alberto Traslosheros and Adriana Ch\u00e1zaro.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Engineering:<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Land Rover, developed by students Sergio Uriel Hern\u00e1ndez Botello, Jos\u00e9 Jorge Rodea, Iv\u00e1n Garc\u00eda, Deborah M\u00e9ndez, Alexia Hauser and Omar Felipe, as well as by professors \u00d3scar Madrigal and Prof. C\u00e9sar Gamboa.<\/li><li>3D copier, developed by students Laura Valenzuela, Lenny Rebolloso, Jos\u00e9 Plablo L\u00f3pez, Karla Moreno, Mario Olivares, Alejandro Meza and Benjam\u00edn Sierra and Professor Sergio Rojas.<\/li><li>Superficial tension, developed by students Bryan Sierra, Sa\u00fal Ortega, Francisco Guerrero and Tonatiuh Covarrubias as well as by Professor Erika Cristino Trejo.<\/li><li>Tempering and Cementation in Box. For the students Luis Garza, Andr\u00e9s Delgado, Jes\u00fas Galinzoga, Nicol\u00e1s Berlanga and Andr\u00e9s Palomo led by Professor Erika Cristino Trejo.<\/li><li>Design and manufacture of conventional machine tools, developed by Professor Jorge Abraham Dom\u00ednguez and four of his students.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Upper Level Technician (Associate's degree):<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Learjet 85 flight simulator cabin. Professor Jesus Lopez.<\/li><li>Undercarriage, Professor V\u00edctor Lembrino and the TSU Manufacturing group.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TSUF09:<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>LED cube. Professor Ricardo Land\u00edn.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>On the Job Training:<\/strong><\/p><ul style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Electrical assemblies.<\/li><li>Structural assemblies.<\/li><li>Machining.<\/li><li>Composite materials.<\/li><li>Sheet forming.<\/li><\/ul><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to integrate the university community and promote the practice of sports and physical activity, as well as the values needed for healthy living in all social spheres, UNAQ held various sporting tournaments, with an approximate participation of over 300 students in different disciplines such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, table tennis and chess.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Special guests attended the closing ceremony: the soccer players of Gallos Blancos, Antonio Naelson Matias better known as Sinha, Jaime Gomez Valencia and Guillermo Garcia Leal, trainer.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_10328\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10328\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10328 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/GranCarreraUNAQ2015-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/GranCarreraUNAQ2015-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/GranCarreraUNAQ2015-16x12.jpg 16w, https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/GranCarreraUNAQ2015.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10328\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">UNAQ\u2019s 2015 Grand Race<\/figcaption><\/figure><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>UNAQ\u2019s 2015 Grand Race<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In this UNAQ\u2019s 2015 Grand Race, more than a thousand attendees participated, among runners and families.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The kick off was made by state authorities and the rector of the university.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first edition of the UNAQ Kids Race was also held, where more than one hundred children participated, in the categories of 50 meters for 3-to-5-year olds, 75 meters for 6-to-8-year olds and 100 meters for 9-to-10-year olds.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Prior to the race they performed physical activation with different games and dancing music organized by Professor Erla L\u00f3pez Ruiz, later they moved to the tartan track, where they also received their participation medal and they took part in a raffle.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Rally<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of the sports and cultural activities, a Rally was held in occasion of the 8th Anniversary where more than 200 students from different academic programs participated.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The seventh edition of the Letras Vivas contest was held. In this event the Information Center organized two activities, the Gathering Zone and the Writing Workshop.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In The Gathering Zone students and UNAQ administrative staff read aloud a paragraph or phrase from their book and \/ or favorite author to share with the attendees. It was attended by Ing. Jorge Guti\u00e9rrez de Velasco Rodr\u00edguez in reading stories and poems, accompanied by writers such as Juan Carlos Reyna (Tijuana), Fernando P\u00e9rez and Ignacio Escalera (Quer\u00e9taro), who shared their literary works with the attendees.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of a strategy for the enhancement of university life, the Podcast \u201cThe black box, which is actually orange\u201d is a project carried out to inform, disseminate, entertain and strengthen communication among the university community.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This year three students of the 9th four-month term of UNAQ, Roxana P\u00e9rez Ram\u00edrez, Jos\u00e9 Pablo L\u00f3pez Aguado \u00c1lvarez and Jes\u00fas Alejandro L\u00f3pez Garc\u00e9s, were granted the Bicultural Industrial Reach Program scholarship with West Virginia University.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On their return they made an industrial stay of eight weeks in Quer\u00e9taro in order to apply the knowledge acquired in the work field. Overall, UNAQ has had seven students participating in this program since 2013.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The General Coordination of Technological and Polytechnic Universities (CGUTyP) along with the General Directorate of International Relations (DGRI) gave TSU students the opportunity to compete for a Mobility Scholarship, consisting of financial support to students to participate in an exchange program to any university in North America, Europe and Asia. Thanks to an agreement with the Province of Quebec (Canada), the CGUTyP managed to place the students of TSU, having two students winning a scholarship for a four-month stay and get a Professional License (LP) in a Qu\u00e9bec university. The recipient students were: Arturo Eslava Guerrero (LP. Electronics) and Eduardo Mojarro Villase\u00f1or (LP. Industrial Engineering).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fifty-eight students of the TSU and Engineering programs carried out a cultural journey that, in addition to allowing them to share experiences, left them a wealth of cultural and academic learning.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The trip took place in Houston and San Antonio, Texas, they visited The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), where they met the astronaut training camp and the robot simulation center, also witnessed the process of assembling two of the most important trucks of the company Toyota Motors Manufacturing: Tundra and Tacoma.<\/p><figure id=\"attachment_10248\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10248\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-10248 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nuestra_Historia_2015-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nuestra_Historia_2015-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nuestra_Historia_2015-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nuestra_Historia_2015-16x12.jpg 16w, https:\/\/www.unaq.edu.mx\/wp-content\/uploads\/Nuestra_Historia_2015.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10248\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Signing of an agreement with West Virginia<\/figcaption><\/figure><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With the aim of training highly specialized people for the development of the sciences related to Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering, with the competencies and capacities required to solve problems that require scientific research, technological development and innovation, the Master of Science of the Aerospace engineering is created. A very select group of full-time students will enter this program, who will be able to obtain a double master's degree from the University of West Virginia.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">UNAQ continues to establish links with the aerospace sector, as well as with the education and business sector, reaffirming its commitment to the Queretaro\u2019s society to strengthen collaborative relationships and links with organizations and institutions that allow economic, technological and social growth.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These relationships allow the University to be positioned as a national and international reference, sharing the activities it carries out, the advances in educational and technological matters, as well as in obtaining extraordinary resources through the Continuing Education and Technological Development programs and opening the doors to students and graduates with agreements with the industrial and commercial sector.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Aeronautical University in Quer\u00e9taro, Mexico (UNAQ) and the University of Kansas, United States (UK) sign the cooperation agreement for student, scientific and academic exchange to improve the intellectual and experimental resources of both institutions in cultural and educational matters , through the Bilateral Fund on Higher Education, Research and Innovation (FOBESII), which aims to develop in the short or long term the shared vision in the areas of higher education, research and innovation that promote human resources and economic development.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Advanced System of Baccalaureate and Higher Education (SABES) and the Aeronautical University in Quer\u00e9taro signed a Collaboration Agreement that academically benefits their students and also allows the exchange of both institutions for didactic, research, academic, cultural, social and training.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nuestra Historia &#8211; 2015 Como reflejo del fortalecimiento en la capacidad instalada y docente la matricula ha mantenido un crecimiento constante.
